THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST
(CHAPTER 1)
Let’s start off with the scripture that reveals the “book” which was given to Christ before the world was:
Revelation 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ" was a book and a plan given to the "Eternal Christ (St. John 1:1)” which contained the plan of God the Father for Jesus Christ to come into this world. However, it was more than just Salvation because Jesus Christ was coming whether Adam had fallen or not and this scripture indicates that Jesus Christ already knew the plan before the foundations of Earth:
Ephesians 1:4
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews 4:3
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
From defined - indicating the point in space at which a journey, motion, or action starts
Revelation 13:8 indicates that not only was Jesus Christ coming but that he was crucified at the very start of the foundation of this world and if you have read your Bible, you understand that Adam existed after the Earth was made and not before.
Subsequently, Adam’s fall had not affected whether or not Jesus Christ was coming to man and creation, however, Adam’s fall changed how Jesus Christ was to come.
God the Father wanted to create man to be as him, which meant that God wanted man to become as he is and to rule and reign with his son, Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
Revelation 1:6
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
In order for these actions to happen, God the Father had to have a plan and had to have the perfect time to execute such a plan. As such, different factors dictated God’s response at the right time and this occurred when satan fell and took man (Adam) down with him afterwards. Subsequently, Jesus Christ came and died not only for us but for this World and for creation itself in order to right what was wronged by man and satan’s actions and also to purchase man and all things that were taken by satan and his kingdoms.
Now, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” contained all this knowledge and these contingency plans in order to build a Kingdom (Christ’s Kingdom) and to create a people that would become the Son’s of God.
John 1:12-13
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
I said all of this to get you, the reader, started on the path to understand that God the Father had a plan! And subsequently the Eternal Christ, who was second in command of Heaven and all that existed, chose to obey his Father by accepting this plan. Further, the Eternal Christ had to know all that he had to do in order to make that decision to become “Jesus” and to become a "man" which would take him off of his throne and place him from second in command of Heaven to lower than his creation that he had created:
John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Hebrews 2:9
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Can you imagine what courage, determination, love, and obedience that the choice of the Eternal Christ had to make in order to complete the Revelation of Jesus Christ for God the Father? He gave up the second most powerful position in Heaven and in all creation to become the low form of man in order to raise "man" up from his low position in order to sit with Jesus Christ on his throne in "Heavenly Places”!
Ephesians 2:6
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Brother and Sisters in Christ, this is only the beginning of what God has planned for us and if we knew, we wouldn’t be able to contain it but here it is:
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Salvation was just the beginning and it was a gift that we didn’t work for and subsequently, Salvation is used to make us right before God so that we could access all those things that God has reserved for us in order to begin the journey to become his Sons! Jesus Christ is “The Word of God” and right now we have to begin looking at him as such in order for us to gain understanding of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. God’s Word is the only way for us to get out of our low position that we are in now as man and to begin to develop into a greater creation through the Knowledge of God. This comes first by understanding more than just John 3:16 and the purpose of salvation because there is much, much more involved and this is just the beginning.
Revelation means the unveiling and so God will do nothing more with you than give you Salvation unless you are in his Word. You will not receive the blessings of God other than receiving your basic “Birthright Blessings” unless you study the Word of God (Matt 6:25-34). So, let’s dig into the Revelation of Jesus Christ that existed before the world was and which was given to the Apostle John.
Jesus Christ has to drink 4 cups which are defined as measurements of time and these cups contained accomplishments that Jesus has to complete:
Luke 22:42
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Christ’s Cups
1. First Cup -
The Eternal Christ had to become Man. (Phil 2:8)
2. Second Cup -
Jesus Christ had to become a High Priest. (Heb 7:14-17)
3. Third Cup -
Jesus reigning for 1,000 years as a King in the Millennial Reign. (Rev 20:6)
4. Fourth Cup -
Jesus Christ reigning with God the Father. (Rev 22:3-4)
We see that Jesus Christ has to drink of these cups and accomplish completely these actions which was written and ordered by the Father in order to become a “new creation”. What I mean by “new creation” is that Jesus Christ had never existed before, however, “The Eternal Christ” had existed before. When the The Eternal Christ gave up his position as the second part of the Godhead (Trinity - Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Matt 28:19)
he than had to become a “new creation” that never existed before and had to die both spiritually and physically in order to become something else which was this “new creation” or better known as Jesus Christ!
Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Jesus Christ died spiritually and this is why Jesus cried out “why have you forsaken me”! This happens when God leaves and an Eternal death occurs by separation from God. When you are not with God, you are walking in death. So, this is why God says this in scripture
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
God tells us this powerful statement in order to give us peace and comfort to know that we are not dead as long as he is with us and that he won’t leave us which gives us great joy to know this.
In addition, Jesus Christ also died physically:
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
So, Jesus Christ died both spiritually and physically in order to complete the work of the Father, however, this only started the beginning of the “work of Jesus Christ” in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
His First Cup was completed when he became man and died, however, from this First completed cup, he now had to enter into his priesthood with the rest of the cups still needing to be completed. Subsequently, this brings us to the next Chapter.
