THE WISDOMS OF FAITH
Proverbs 2:1-12
1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD,
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 9:1, 10-11
1 Wisdom hath builded her house,
she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied,
and the years of thy life shall be increased.
THE WISDOMS OF FAITH
- FIRST WISDOM - GRACE (BEING SPIRIT LED)
To possess this “First Wisdom” means to have access to the Spirit of God and it goes right along with this scripture:
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
This is the Throne of Grace and we have access to it because we operate our Faith in the dimension of Grace which assists us with what we don’t understand. Because of Grace, God will take up our slack when we need it or if things are brand new to us, God will have Grace while we learn it. Also, Grace will help us to understand and to operate in God when we get a mindset to be spirit led and to seek the spirit:
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
So, the “First Wisdom” is to learn to be led of the Spirit of God and this subsequently becomes Wisdom. When you meet a situation, the Word of the Lord will come to you:
1 Corinthians 12:8-9
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit.
And if you already have a relationship with God while dealing with a situation, it means you already possess the First Wisdom. So, obtain a relationship with God to be spirit led and you will possess the First Wisdom.
2. SECOND WISDOM - (INNER DIRECTION)
Learning direction is important because you can be in a position and not know what is going on around you. So you must seek the Spirit to show you what is going on in your environment (ie: to know what is going on around you). A Heavenly Environment is different than the Natural Environment and we can’t take the Natural and put it into the Spiritual (Heavenly) and expect it to prosper because it won’t work. The only time you can put the Natural into the Spiritual is when you are seed planting than it will work because it is Spiritual. However, you have to know your direction (ie: what am I doing, where am I going, how should I pray, where should I sow seeds of ministering God’s word or seeds of prayer, etc.)
John 5:39-40
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Seed Planted and Growing Knowing When and How to Pray
In order to have an ear to hear God, start out by doing this:
- Prayer and Supplication before the Spirit and learn how to hear what the Spirit is saying
- Reading the Word to obtain knowledge and to obtain understanding which gives you the ability to hear.
- Learning to be Led of the Spirit when he speaks to you a “Word of Knowledge.” This Word of God has a voice and it is not only the sound of hearing it but it is also by possessing this Knowledge or Knowing that creates ear development (spiritual hearing).
So, when you read your Bible, it creates a hearing:
Acts 8:30-31
And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me?And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
Philip taught the Word of God all day to the Eunuch so that he could hear the Word of God and so he would also be able to understand it. Here is a part of another scripture that shows that you can’t hear without a teacher of the Word of God:
Romans 10:14
and how shall they hear without a preacher?
3. THIRD WISDOM - (THE EYE TO SEE WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING)
This Wisdom deals with the Development of an Eye to See and whatever a Christian puts in front of them creates a vision and this vision becomes a leader to them. When an individual wakes up in the morning and sees something that catches their eye, they subsequently begin to dwell on it. In other words, an individual has to guard what they see first thing in the beginning of their day in order to be able to control the day, if not, they get led around by the vision and memory of these unworthy things all day. (ie: painful memories, past loss, sinful things, bad dreams, worldly lusts, etc.)
We are looking for the Eye of God that goes beyond the Natural realm so that we can see knowledge and convert this knowledge into vision. For many people, in order to get an understanding, they have to see it first, so the Third Wisdom uses a Triune Power by utilizing Knowledge against Knowledge. Instead of having to deal with the knowledge of unworthy things, a Christian can utilize the power of the Third Wisdom by taking knowledge and using it to take knowledge apart and to do this, you need the proper tools or method.
Mark 8:18
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember.
If you immediately begin your day by not placing unworthy visions or unworthy knowledge before you than you control the rest of your day. The way you do this, is to replace any unworthy thing you have seen with something that is worthy ( ie: Jesus dying on the Cross, pure things, love, being blessed, taking care of yourself or your family, etc.)
If you immediately begin your day by not placing unworthy visions or unworthy knowledge before you than you can control the rest of your day. The way you do this, is like I mentioned earlier and that is to replace any unworthy knowledge or image you have seen with something that is worthy. The Apostle Paul spoke about this in scripture:
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
The Apostle Paul was essentially stating that a Christian needs to combat unworthy thoughts, unworthy images, bad dreams, sadness, worldly lusts, painful memories, past loss, sinful things with other worthy knowledge. He than goes on to name those things that are worthy to think on in order to combat the unworthy knowledge with a much more worthy knowledge.
This is the development of the change from the Natural to the Spiritual and having to deal with the dominating force of unworthy Knowledge. In order for a Christian to work on having a “superior authority mindset,” he or she must learn to dominate the Natural Realm with a Spiritual attitude and mindset by using the Third Wisdom to attack all unworthy knowledge within themselves.
Learning to work with a “superior authority mindset" does not mean that you become so Heavenly Minded that you are no Earthly good. However, it means to learn to work with the reality of the presence of God’s Knowledge while living in the presence of the Natural Realm.
It also means to know the Revelation of what is actually real so you can still tend to this life and also deal with what is common to man (such as: getting a flat tire on your car God forbid or having to eat or go to the bathroom, etc.). Without this Third Wisdom (an eye to see), you cannot rightly divide the Truth and this is the purpose of Wisdom.
Wisdom becomes Truth because you see things as they really are and when Ear Development and Eye Development are both added to you than your ability to see increases because they all work together. All these together become sight for an individual which brings discernment and this gives a Christian the ability to judge something. In truth, the reality of something can actually be hidden and not seen, however, when you develop your spiritual eyesight through Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, you are no longer spiritually blind.
To know what is right in God’s world and what is right in Man’s World takes an ability to see and without that sight, you cannot rightly divide what is the truth and what is not truth. The Third Wisdom is meant to rightly divide the Natural and the Spiritual. Your spiritual hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling all have to be developed through Wisdom. This is the key to Wisdom.
4. FOURTH WISDOM - (TIMES AND SEASONS)
This teaching is combined with the Fifth Wisdom also.
Luke 1:20
And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
The Angel stated in Luke 1:11-17 that the Seed of Jesus had to go through the Time of Life and notice carefully that the Angel stated that his words shall be fulfilled in their Season.
Times and Seasons are important concerning Knowledge because where there is no time for Knowledge to work, it will not work. Knowledge becomes forbidden in any length of time where it does not have time to complete it’s work and God will not put Knowledge in a short span of time because it will be lost.
In this, you might be able to understand when you look at other Churches and wonder why God is not visiting them. Here comes the understanding that these Churches do not have security or what we call Word Security. This “Word Security" does not mean that the Word gives you Security but it means you are the Security of the Word because you are protecting it. We are always looking at the Word to give us security because we are self-minded, however, we have to protect the Word so that it can work and so that it is not stolen.
The Word of God is not to be darkened or hidden as stated in these scriptures:
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
1 John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Learning all the Times and Seasons will give you the ability to go out and come in and in doing so, it will activate your Faith. Faith is an act of living Knowledge because when you state what you believe, it becomes Knowledge. As an example; God said we are healed and this is Knowledge. If we wrote this statement down into a book, it becomes a Bible all over again and therefore Faith is an Act of Knowledge. If we confess by Faith than it is read of all men: 2 Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
Jesus had to know the Times and Seasons and an example of this is when he bound the Demonic forces, however, notice that he did not send them to Hell:
Matthew 8:28-29
28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?.
Jesus knew the Times and Seasons and he knew it was not time to send these demonic forces to Hell (Matt 8:31-32). Those demonic forces also knew it wasn’t their time to go into a place of judgement yet and that is why they asked Jesus not to Torment them before their time. Had Jesus not known the Times and Seasons, he would of been unskillful in his commands and speech. So he demonstrated his knowledge of Times and Seasons by allowing them to go into the swine (hogs) even though he could of tormented them before their time, however, Jesus would of been outside of their legal Times and Seasons. These demonic forces have as much right to be on the face of the Earth as we do, however, we have a right to move them on to another pasture because wherever we dwell is a righteous pasture.
It comes down to this; a Christian must know the Times and Seasons when they put Faith into a situation and than find out if there is enough time to complete the knowledge within this space of time. An individual also needs to know how to have Wisdom in Times and Seasons. An example: If I decide to plant a word in a Church as a minister and I go back sometime later and can’t find that word I planted, than it is a loss. We can gain or lose in our Faith by understanding or by not understanding the Times and Seasons that we are in or working.
Know When To Plant The Seed Of The Word of God And When Not To Plant. This Is Why God Places Us With Teachers Of His Word.
Galatians 4:2
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
A person can do what he wants until a controller (teacher) comes into the picture and then this Christian’s life begins to be controlled for learning purposes. If the Christian’s environment for learning is controlled Spiritually, than it is controlled Naturally, if the environment for learning is only controlled Naturally it will not be controlled Spiritually.
Romans 11:29
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Discovering this, we find that God controls the Times and Seasons around us and within us which means we deal with things as they come. The Holy Ghost can show us problems, difficulties, situations, events before they come, however, that will all depend on each individual Christian’s spiritual ear development. Having Wisdom in Faith means to know what Season you are about to step into and to know who controls the Season (ie: God, Satan or Man). Faith becomes the voice of Knowledge and once that Faith journeys into a situation it becomes a reality and begins making the change it was sent to do.
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
It was no longer a myth or dream to the Apostle James when he found this scripture to be true because he found it to be a reality in his life. This is how you obtain an understanding of Times and Seasons.
When Wisdom Knocks Will You Have An Ear To Hear
The average person does not know that you have to dress (prepare, put on, etc.) your Faith (2 Peter 1:5-7) because you have to be ready for the situation at hand like David was when he went to face the Giant:
1 Samuel 17:10-11
And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
David had all he needed when he went to face the Giant and if anything else was needed, David knew that God would provide it. God even provided the sword whereby David cut the Giant’s head off with, however, the Giant didn’t know that day when he sharpened his own sword that he was doing it for David. And by Faith, David knew he would win.
1 Samuel 17:51
Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

The Wisdom and Faith That You
Have At Hand
5. FIFTH WISDOM - (KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH)
The Truth is, when God gives you a Calling, Election or Assignment than you need to start seeking the laws of what you can do within it. God will tell an individual, I am going to do this, however, I am not going to do this so don’t touch that. An example of this, is when Israel passed through the Jordan and God told them to take a city; God said don’t touch the spoils of the city for yourselves but give them to me. Or God would tell them to kill everyone in the city; man, woman, children, animals and livestock.
1 Samuel 15:3
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
Another example is when God was upgrading Moses into a higher level of Word and Authority by giving him an assignment in which God instructed Moses to “no longer strike the rock but speak unto the rock” so it would give forth water:
Numbers 20:7
7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
MOSES STRIKING THE ROCK INSTEAD OF SPEAKING TO IT FOR WATER TO COME FORTH
However, Moses did not speak to the rock but hit it twice with his rod (Num 20:11) and according to the scripture below, God punished Moses for his disobedience:
Numbers 20:12
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Moses was punished because even though he knew the Fifth Wisdom which is Knowledge of the Truth, he disobeyed God and struck the rock instead of speaking to it. Moses needed to move into the next season of his position with God by going with the law and truth of this next season by “Speaking” instead of “Striking” the rock. God wanted to upgrade him into a new power of his “Word” by speaking to the rock for water to come out which would of exhibited God’s power in even a greater way and sanctified him before the people. Unfortunately, Moses did not obey God and he lost out on many future blessings because of his disobedience.
John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
One of the most important events that could ever happen to a Christian is for them to learn the value of Wisdom and the value of being guided into all Truth by the Holy Spirit. I pray that you understand this first hand in your lifetime as a Christian and seek this with all your mind, body, soul, and spirit.
