THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST
(CHAPTER 14)
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Jesus had an anointing on him which was produced by overcoming and he also had an anointing on him that was from another source. This other source was the Holy Spirit given to him without measure and having the Spirit without measure is the power and ability to do the work and the will of the Father.
Luke 22:42
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
We see Jesus’ even in the greatest of bone crushing stress knowing he was going to be tortured, whipped, crucified and to die in the next few days, he was still able to put the Father’s will before his. This was more than remarkable and we must realize that he was fallible like us, however, he never sinned even once and overcame everything that was placed before him. Jesus was God’s Word manifested and walking in this world and we too become the walking Word of God just as Jesus was otherwise he would not of said this scripture:
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
The “Coming of Christ” was an act of the Father and God the Father had to first have Faith in Christ that he would completely finish the work that he had sent him to do. We know John 3:16 very well if we are Christians and we know that “God so loved the world that he gave”! This was an action of love and not an emotion on God’s part because he truly believed without a doubt that his son, Jesus would do his part to save humanity. The scripture below proves God’s Faith in Jesus Christ:
Ephesians 1:12
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
So, we see by this scripture that God asks us to have faith and he himself also has to have faith not only in us but he had to have faith in Jesus also. In order for anyone to have faith in someone, they have to trust them and by this scripture we see irrefutable evidence that God the Father had to have faith in his own son to overcome even to the cross and beyond.
For Jesus to have hung on the Cross, he had to have authority and could not of done so without it. What Jesus had to do on the Cross was deal with sin and sin is “Knowledge not dealt with.” All sin had to be dealt with so as Israel had a scapegoat so did we through Jesus Christ.
Leviticus 16:10
But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
Jesus Christ had to have all of the World’s sin and Creation’s sin from the past, present and future read to him officially and legally while on the Cross. Sin is an act that produces knowledge and that knowledge is burned on a man’s soul.
This is why the rocks broke, the earth quaked, the veil was torn from top to bottom, and the graves opened at the time of Jesus’ death because this sin had been read and understood and not because Jesus died.
Matthew 27:51
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Jesus had to deal with “all” sin, every last bit of it from the beginning to the future and there were a great amount of heavenly transportation that had to come to the Cross and leave it with Christ to deal with it and for him to hear it all! If you are not understanding or believing this, can you imagine “all” sin that was ever committed? I don’t think it is humanly possible to consider it all, however, Jesus Christ had to read it all in order for it to be judged so look at this scripture below:
Leviticus 16:21
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
This scripture proves what Jesus had to do and what he had to bear as the Angels laid their hands upon Jesus Christ in order for him to absorb all the knowledge of the sin. This sin was imparted to him and a man could not of done this as it took a God to do this, however, he himself was not guilty of any of it.
1 John 5:6-8
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
The Holy Spirit witnessed everything and “justified” him and Jesus Christ had to be separated first as a God:
Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Than separated as a man:
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
It is a powerful thing to understand The Revelation of Jesus Christ and why he had to do these things and this is the basis of every thing being preached for the last 2,000 years! I pray this helps you to understand the truth behind the coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Glory to our God, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.
